Hardware Standards
Desktop and Laptop Computers
Dell and HP (through CDWG) are IUSD's standard providers for Windows desktops, laptops, and computer monitors. IUSD also allows the purchase of Apple iPads, desktop and laptop computers. For information about current models and pricing, or to obtain a quote, you may contact your site's assigned PC Services technician.
Printers and Copiers
Toshiba provides IUSD's large, multi-function printers and copiers through a master contract that supports both long-term leases and purchases of the equipment. Toner, staples, and other consumables are included in the lease price. For information regarding copier options and sizing for your needs, please email helpdesk@iusd.org. For smaller, desktop and shared printers, IUSD has standardized on HP devices through CDWG. Please contact the Help Desk to identify the best option for your needs.
Tablets
IUSD recommends iOS (iPads, iPod Touches) for tablet/touch needs in our campuses. iOS devices must be managed by IT through our mobile device management solution. Your assigned PC Services can assist with quotes and provide details on supported options.
Telecommunications, Networking and Wireless
Networking and Wireless standards are set by the Information Technology Department. IUSD is now standardized on Cisco switches and routers, Aruba wireless access points, and Mitel telecommunications equipment. If you are experiencing network issues, or would like to augment/update your existing network environment, please contact the Help Desk.
Other Equipment and Peripherals
IUSD uses a variety of providers for necessary cables, cases, document cameras, carts, headsets, and other essential technologies. Please consult with your assigned PC Services Technician for recommendations and quotes.
