InfoTech Supported Services

We are working on building a list of all the I.T. Supported Services that IUSD employees access on a daily basis. This section will contain resources and How-to documents related to these services. For support with any IUSD system or service, please contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@iusd.org.

Service Description

The Aeries Student Information System (SIS) is our primary source for student demographic, academic, course enrollment/scheduling, and department data.

Aesop is IUSD's employee time reporting and substitute system. Through Aesop, employees enter absences online and leave (sick, vacation) balances are updated.  Aesop also facilitates substitute assignment and payment.  Aesop replaced paper absence slips and sub time cards in July 2014.

The Canvas (Instructure) Course Management System allows teachers to maintain course websites that include announcements, course materials/syllabi, assignments, and interactive activities with students.

mail.iusd.org

IUSD uses Microsoft Office 365 as its email system.  All IUSD staff members are provided an email account upon hire. IUSD email can be accessed from any internet-connected computer or mobile device. 

Google Apps for Education provides an online platform for sharing documents, creating forms and supporting team collaboration. 

Lync is a platform that allows instant messaging, collaborative work, and online meetings.  Lync is available on IUSD computers or through web mail. It integrates fully with your Exchange/Outlook Calendar.   

IUSD maintains a District-wide license for the Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint and other tools.  The District license includes the latest (and all other) versions of the web-based and client (desktop-installed) Office suite.  In addition, IUSD's license includes free, home use/install of the suite for IUSD staff and students.

Phone/Voicemail

Information Services is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the IUSD voice communications network.

Projectors IT provides emergency replacement projectors and bulbs.  In addition, a comprehensive projector refresh project is currently underway.  Projector issues should be reported to the IUSD Help Desk.
Printing/Papercut

IUSD supports several printer options.  The District has a lease agreement for large, multifunction copiers and printers.  In addition, we have several standards available for purchase. For both offerings, IUSD maintains a district license for Papercut to assist sites with managing printing for staff and students.

Resource Scheduler

Resource Scheduler is IUSD's master calendar for room and equipment reservations (effective July 1, 2015). 

SchoolMessenger

Emergency Notification and Community Messaging system that provides fast, reliable deliverability of email and phone communications.

The Schoolnet Learning Management System platform incorporates data analysis, assessment, curriculum sharing, professional learning, and intervention
features.

Software Installation

IUSD maintains a variety of software licenses, including the full Microsoft Office suite.  Note: users/sites are responsible for ensuring that software licenses are available and used only in compliance with the provider's terms and conditions. To install software:

Adobe Contribute

Contribute is the primary application for making content edits to Intranet, IUSD.org, and school websites. Email HelpDesk.iusd.org to get started. If you already have Contribute installed and you need to create a connection, please review the following document.
